Big River BBQ is fast becoming one of the premier Competition Cooking Teams in America. Competing on the National Barbecue Trail sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society, Big River BBQ is steadily moving up the ranks. In 2009, Big River ended the year ranked in the Top 1% of Competition Barbecue Teams in America.
Composed of Pit Master Marty Dunkin, and his wife Teresa, this couple travels the country competing, and WINNING, in event after event. Having developed their own “Secret Recipes” for success, Big River BBQ is committed to their goal of a "World Championship", and Marty and Teresa believe with their continued hard work and dedication it is just a matter of time.

On March 13, 2010 80 or so of the very best Competition BBQ Teams in America will compete for the Crown of Grand Champion of one of the most prestigous events anywhere. The 9th Annual Hog Wild Festival and BBQ Championship. Big River will have to be at it's best to win against one of the strongest fields we'll see ALL year. We are looking for our first outing of the year to be on "Lucky March 13"
